Let’s connect to drive impact, scale platforms, tackle engineering challenges.
I began my journey at Informix, engineering a remote method invocation layer for SQL interfaces, igniting my passion for distributed computing. I received the DNA Clone Award for developing a critical Java component in Informix Universal Server. This recognition fueled my drive for innovation and propelled me into leadership roles at Oracle, ESRI, Google, VMware, Airbnb, where I spearheaded infrastructure transformations and high-impact engineering programs.
At Airbnb, I lead Cloud Infrastructure programs driving reliability, scalability, and resilience, alongside company-wide architecture initiatives.
As Director of TPM at VMware, I led the Global TPM Org for Unified Tanzu, supporting 800+ engineers and scaling the team by 25+. My team earned 30+ awards, and I was honored with the VMware Elevate Award for leadership impact. I transformed VMware’s Product Development Process, spearheaded the company-wide Bureaucracy Busters initiative, & led transformative cross-functional programs that empowered customers to accelerate multi-cloud application delivery.
Over 9 yrs at Google, I was the first TPM in Tech Infrastructure, launching Google Cloud’s first region & leading a $500M program to eliminate spinning disks from all data centers. I unified cross-stack resource metrics through Census, laying the foundation for OpenTelemetry—work that earned me the Google Tech Infrastructure Award. I also ensured business continuity for Exchange customers by launching Gmail Message Continuity & strengthened legal capabilities for Google with Google Vault.
Before Google, I spent nearly 9 years at Oracle, leading engineering teams as a Principal Member of Tech Staff & launching innovative products like EJB in Oracle App Server & Oracle Discoverer for Java. As Principal Marketing Manager, I drove J2EE, WebCache, & TopLink product marketing, leading high-impact campaigns that earned me the Oracle & Marketing Innovation Award. I also served as an Editor for Oracle Magazine. At ESRI, as Senior Java Architect, I spearheaded the cloud-based GIS transformation for ArcGIS
I founded the Mountain View Java User Group, scaling it into the USA’s premier JUG with 1,000+ members. My entrepreneurial journey includes AI-driven early detection tools for osteoporosis and COVID-19, honing my expertise in scaling operations. Our work—published in the Medical Journal of India, featured by the American College of Physicians, & backed by $180K in Google support—drove significant impact in the medical community.
